BELLE BANDIT PRODUCTIONS PRESENTS SPLIT SECOND

Starring Jacopo Rampini, under the direction of Jessica Duclos, making her short film directorial debut. Cinematography by Micheal Tosner (Winner "Creative Vision" Award Flux Festival 2013 for Primogenesis film).

 

 

BASED ON A TRUE STORY

Professional tennis player Jake Smith decides to give some coaching lessons while on a recovery period from a bad injury. He is then introduced to a young potential aspiring student 'Lucky' (Fern Cozine). While trying to make ends meet, he gets entrapped into a sexual scandal which turned his life around by jeopardizing his entire tennis career. He is now faced with the harsh reality of serving an extreme sentence.

DIRECTOR, PRODUCER, WRITER & EDITOR

Jessica Duclos was born and raised in Quebec City, Canada. She obtained a Bachelor’s degree in International Business from University Laval in Quebec. She made her move to New York City to pursue an acting career and studied further at the prestigious Lee Strasberg Film and Theatre Institute.

She made her film debut as ‘The Canadian Waitress’ in Antoine Manceaux’s film The Day All Women Loved Me, which won best screenplay at the Paris Film Festival. She acted in a number of other films, also Film Festival award winners. Some of these achievements were in Run It (Directed by Evangelos Giovanis), Shore Thing (Directed by Anthony Lovari) and Rising Sun (Directed by Hakki Subentekin). The actress has also performed in a few Off-Broadway plays including Sidetracked and Tiger, both directed by Sanja Bestic and landed a National Commercial as the face of Slotomania.

Jessica launched Belle Bandit Productions LLC in 2014 to start creating her own projects as a platform to promote herself. She is making her directorial debut in her first produced film Split Second. Still residing in New York City, Jessica is fluent in French, English and Spanish. While fine tuning her acting skills, she is currently working on finishing another short film This Isn't Valparaiso in which she stars as the lead, produced, directed and sings on the soundtrack. She continues to grow as a multitalented artist, utilizing her skill sets to the fullest acting in numerous Independent Films, Television, Theater Productions and Music Videos.

She's eager to have an International career, working in different countries, being challenged by different languages, accents and always learning from her craft.

Jacopo Rampini

Jacopo Rampini

Jacopo Rampini is an Italian and American actor working in the United States and in Europe. Rampini's native languages are Italian, French and English. He attended Sorbonne University in Paris and Accademia Teatro Alla Scala in Milan. He studied acting at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and the Stella Adler Studio in New York City.

Rampini worked at the Williamstown Theatre Festival and in several productions Off-Broadway. He appeared in a number of feature, short and independent films before gaining prominence for playing young Joseph Stalin in the History Channel's mini series The World Wars. In 2016 Jacopo will star in the TV show Medici: Masters of Florence starring Dustin Hoffman and Richard Madden.

Jeanna has spent a lifetime in the entertainment business. Most recently she completed a short film titled Four doors Apart where she played the leading role of Anne. Over the years she has appeared in numerous TV and film projects including Megan in NBC’s Another World and The Guru with Marissa Tomei.

Last year the shortfilm The Break In, in which she played the role of Margaret, was nominated and selected for the 2015 International Beaufort Film Festival for best comedy. She also has starred in various Broadway productions including Grease, 42nd Street and Starlight Express.
